Project Manager Alex GS began his career as a woodworker for residential homes over twenty years ago. In his early years, he worked alongside his father, a certified diesel mechanic and HVAC contractor, to learn his trade. While acquiring mechanical skills, he also developed a love for woodworking while working part-time in his uncle’s wood shop during his high school years. Later, he learned fine furniture making and interior design construction, which led him to attend architecture school with a minor in psychology in Los Angeles, California. During his time in Los Angeles, he worked as an architectural draftsman in the interior design industry for over fifteen years, using AutoCAD software.
As a subcontractor draftsman, he worked on projects for several high-profile interior designers in Los Angeles. Most of his clients were within the entertainment industry in Hollywood, including Malibu, Newport Beach, San Diego, Santa Monica, Santa Barbara, and surrounding areas. He also worked in downtown Los Angeles, remodeling high-rise office buildings. His passion for design led him to operate his own drafting business as a freelancer for four years. During that time, he also worked remodeling several of his own homes.
Swedenborg & Finch materialized in 2020. Cheryl Swedenborg, joined as a partner and financial officer the same year. Cheryl is a graduate of Corban University Salem with a minor in psychology. The current team employs the same quality focus that Alex acquired throughout the years on high-end residential remodeling and all phases of construction. Over the past fifteen years of his residency in Oregon, he also became a certified roofing inspector and installer of all types of roofing.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, outdoor activities such as mountain biking and longboarding with his daughter, Gabrielle and wife Cheryl.
